First International Conference on Carbon Management at Urban and Regional Levels
Connecting Development Decisions to Global Issues
Mexico City, September 4-8, 2006

The Global Carbon Project invites you to participate in the First International Conference on Carbon Management at Urban and Regional Levels: Connecting Development Decisions to Global Issues.
The conference will explore the question "How can cities, regions, and cities-in-regions together lead in the de-carbonization of our societies and by so doing stabilize greenhouse gas emissions and climate change?" In particular we will focus on four themes:
- Measurement and observations
- Patterns, variability and modeling at multiple scales
- Influence and development processes on carbon emissions
- Mitigation opportunities, constraints and challenges for urban and regional carbon management at multiple scales
We are planning an exciting program, bringing together the natural and social science research communities as well as policy advisors and analysts supporting the decision making process.
